The good: this book accurately summarizes the CISG

The good: this book accurately summarizes the CISG. It's not too long, goes into pretty good detail on any given topic, and it definitely helped me feel prepared for the exam.
The bad/ugly: Nutshells are supposed to be nice, succinct summaries of the law, but this one took more effort to read than my casebook. The syntax was totally wacky and convoluted, to the point I had to reread sentences several times just to understand them. The authors are also entirely too fond of "clarifying" a confusing point by saying "in other words" followed by a long string of Latin that they don't translate. Fortunately this calms down a bit about a third of the way through. I guess the upshot is that if you work this hard to read a book, you learn the content better.
Overall: If you have no other choice, this will give you a solid, fairly in depth summary of the CISG. Just be prepared to work for it.
