Amazing and disturbing biography of a teen killer - and city in turmoil

Rodriguez puts the intelligent, resentful and manipulative young man in context of the society of Juarez, a city where shootings and kidnappings have become common and where police, prosecutors and politicians are considered corrupt and inept. Then she goes deeper, bringing the reader the full story of how the teen does get caught - and then how the homicide case and he move through the criminal justice system, juvenile detention and prison and finally emerge back onto the streets at an even darker time in Juarez history.
