Rodolfo Ambriz, PMP, PMI-SP, PMI-RMP, MCTS, MCITP, is a Microsoft Project expert and runs Latin American operations for International Institute for Learning (IIL), a global leader that provides project, program, and portfolio management, Microsoft Office Project and Project Server, Six Sigma, and Business Analysis training and consulting solutions to businesses. He heads the IIL team that is currently creating the 2010 Microsoft IIL Courses for Project and Project Server. Ambriz has provided services to a wide range of clients, including Banamex/Citigroup, PEMEX, Hewlett Packard, TELMEX, and IBM/Tecnosys. He consults in the areas of business analysis and Microsoft Office Enterprise Project Management, and has created customized courses in Spanish for clients in Mexico, Latin America and Spain. Great project action tool

This book is a gold mine full of nuggets to use in navigating a project from beginning to end using MS Project 2010. It is like a project scheduling bible with chapters on every topic including estimating, scheduling, earned value management. And chapters include a blue highlights icon pointing out new features in Project 2010 so you know what features changed from 2007 to 2010. Very timely for my work here at the laboratory.

Love it, but...

Driving your project through resource availability is, when dealing with those who own a project's budget or are responsible for it's deliverables, pointless. The powers that be want hard dates. Resource availability changes are not something they are interested in changing their delivery schedule and/or connected processes or projects for.

That being said, there is a TON of great ideas on how to utilize Dynamic Scheduling to order tasks based on resource availability as opposed to hard dependencies. Some of this type of information has proven to be useful. Still, it goes against what most managers and team members are used to. Implementing this scheduling approach involves as much OCM as it does learning and mastering the approach yourself, as well as the tool.

This is a must have book for anyone who needs to gain a deeper understanding into the scheduling process. Dynamic Scheduling will both show you how to perform the operations needed in MS Project 2010 and explain how to improve your understanding of its usage and also the underlying scheduling concept. For example the other day one of our senior project managers needed to understand the methods for shorting the critical path and what this would mean to his project, after a quick review of the book's index we realized there was a entire section dedicated to this topic. So many things to love about this

A page-turning mystery full of family secrets, awkward relatives, believable romance and great humour. Protagonists were real but delightful (a big relief as I'm so sick of reading about characters I can't even like), and I foresee myself re-reading this often. I wish I could go in greater depth on the many nuanced things I appreciated about reading this but it would be full of spoilers - basically, a great, fun read worth much more than what it cost me

Are you looking for romance, intrigue, wickedly smart dialogue, and a healthy dose of sex appeal? Then buy this book and thank me later, after you've calmed down and maybe taken a cold shower. Rae D. Magdon delivers the story, the humor, and the heat, as she always does. Love, love, love.

Fantastic, fun read!

Fun, light hearted mystery with a great cast of characters. The main character, Jay, is totally relatable and her Aunt Mimi is a trip. Her girlfriend Nicole is interesting and a little complex, like most women, but serves as a good foil for Jay. Their relationship is sexy and fun and they are really great together. And the mystery is great, too! I didn't have the killer figured out by the end so it was a surprise. I'm a big fan of Rae's work and this one definitely did not disappoint!

Vatsyayana's given name was Mallanaga and he was most likely from the Madhya Desha, once India's cultural heartland. He lives sometime between the first and third centuries.

"A gorgeous deluxe edition" The cover certainly is, but that's the only place you'll find Malika Favre's lovely work. This book is not illustrated.

Comparing this Haskar translation from Penguin with the earlier Oxford (2002) translation by Doniger & Kakar: I prefer the Doniger version because it more scholarly with lots of interesting notes, some translated from Sanskrit commentaries, and a good introduction. Both translations are readable, though Haskar has a slight habit of using older diction, such as "abode" and "sexual union" (instead of Doniger's "sex") or "gentleman" instead of "man-about-town." (Of course, this does bring to mind GQ, a good target for his book!) Haskar's introduction briefly discusses the rationale for his translation method: "literary" rather than "literal." The Kama Sutra is not so much a sex manual as it is a source for understanding (male and youth) urban lifestyle at a period in ancient India.

Great Edition - ill treated book

The book is great, beautiful, well bounded and the cover is perfect, the only problem is that it is mate finished and because of that and the storage of the book, the one i received has some marks and scrach marks, it's very superficial but i woud've liked to have it i better state

Each section is thoughtful and shows not only an historian's meticulous eye for analysis, but also a comic-book lover's enthusiasm. This is a must for daily OR use!

I have looked at 10 different reverence pocket notebooks for the OR and this is the one! I love it and so do almost all of my classmates. Most CRNAs that I am with look at it and say "I need one of these". It is quick and easy to use. Has metal wrings so you can add pages and cards as needed. Great little book!
